The Nissan Titan is one of the best selling electric cars in the world, and it’s no surprise that the brand is constantly churning out new and innovative electric vehicles.
But that doesn’t mean the brand can’t get its hands on some more futuristic models, especially as the company is in the midst of a massive overhaul of its electric vehicle lineup.
And if Nissan really wants to push its brand in this exciting electric vehicle world, it’ll have to get creative.
The company announced last week that it is working with a handful of high-profile names in the industry to produce some of its own futuristic EV models.
The names in question are Nissan’s own Murano line, and the Murano is a super sedan that’s also a sports car, as well as a crossover, and a mid-size sedan that packs some pretty impressive performance.
The Murano SUV, in particular, will be available for the next few years.
And now, Nissan is bringing back one of its flagship electric vehicles, the Nissan Murano X. The X, the company announced at its Global Automotive Summit event last week, will debut later this year.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine that can produce 300 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.
That’s a bit more than the Nissan’s current best-selling electric vehicle, the Leaf, which can deliver 370 hp and 250 pound-foot of torque with a four-cylinder engine.
The Nissan Murane X is also a crossover and sports car.
The Nissan Muranet will get a 4×2 front-wheel drive layout and will feature a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged four-wheel-drive system.
It will get 200 horsepower and 200 pound-ft of torque from the 3.7-liter V6 engine.
And its interior will be adorned with a large carbon fiber dash.
And that’s not all.
It’s expected to have a six-speed manual transmission, a three-speed dual-clutch automatic, and adaptive cruise control, which will allow the Murane to change lanes without the driver needing to pull over.
It sounds like a lot, but the Muranos Murano EV is one heck of a car.
And Nissan has plenty of other high-end EV models on the way.
The company has announced plans for a new hybrid model called the Leaf C, and Nissan is also set to unveil a new electric SUV called the Nissan Leaf EV, which could be announced later this month.
And we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on the latest rumors about these new EV vehicles.
The Murano lineup has a ton of cool cars.
But the Muranets Murano and Murano EX EV have something that you’ll want to check out: a crossover.
The Leaf C is slated to hit the market in 2020.
